Splash out
To guarantee top holiday ratings from your children (not forgetting "big kids" too), the best bet is to deposit them
at the entrance to Wild Wadi Water Park on the first day,
and only collect them on the way back to the airport (and no, we're not getting paid to say that!). Although it's not
the cheapest day out, there are rides and activites to suit all ages - even toddlers - and the challenge of the Jumeirah
Sceirah is not for the faint-hearted!
Splashland (Dubai Creek Park) or, if you want to venture further afield, Dreamland
Aqua Park (45 minutes drive up the coast, in the neighbouring emirate Umm al Quwain) also offer 101 ways to get extremely wet indeed.
Indoor activity centres
When it's too hot outside, children can let off steam at one of Dubai's air-conditioned indoor centres. Teenagers
can hang out in the indoor skate park at Galactica while younger ones enjoy the LunarLand soft play zone (both at
the Encounter Zone at Wafi City Mall). Mini pitch and putt,
ten-pin bowling, hi-tech arcade games and fairground rides can all be found at Magic Planet (Deira City Centre and
Mall of the Emirates ).
