In Dubai, year-round sunshine is virtually guaranteed. With an average of over 10 hours sun per day for six months of the year, and over 8 hours per day even in the middle of winter, it's a great place to top up your tan. Your holiday spirit won't get dampened by rain either - at only 13 centimetres a year, it is quite a novelty!

Temperatures throughout the year range from about 10C to 48C. The mean daily maximum is 24C in January, rising to 41C in July. The humidity is worst in July and August, but all facilities are air-conditioned, and swimming pools are often chilled in summer months.
